Architecture as A Collection of Objects
Our designs often exhibit a playful character as groups of distinct objects that come together to create form and space. This approach makes our projects adaptable, flexible, and has a diverse formal identity that doesn’t rely on a single image. The finished work becomes an assemblage of objects that dilutes the distinction between objects and architecture, form and space.
Direct partner involvement in design
The direct involvement of partners is rare, as most take on management roles at the expense of design. At iO, our partners remain committed to leading the design process and making use of their extensive experience doing what they do best: design.
Our works have been featured in prominent publications such as Archdaily, Dezeen, art4d, DsignSomething, the Cloud, the Standard. We have received numerous international recognitions including shortlists for the Archdaily Building of the Year Awards both in 2021 and 2022, as well as the Blueprint Awards 2021.
